Customer Source License

Read the license before you buy.

Every NorthLuma website ZIP includes a LICENSE.md file. Here's exactly what it says, in plain English. The actual file is delivered alongside README.md, DEPLOYMENT.md, and UPGRADES.md.

What you bought

When you purchase a website from NorthLuma, you buy the right to use, modify, deploy, and re-license the code in your archive for any purpose, including commercial use, with no additional fees, royalties, or obligations.

The license is granted when NorthLuma receives full and final payment for your download. Once that payment has cleared and is not reversed, it is perpetual and irrevocable — yours forever, with no expiry.

There is one condition, and we state it here because it is in the file you receive: if the payment is charged back, refunded, or otherwise reversed for any reason, this license terminates automatically and immediately, and every right above is revoked. Using, copying, deploying, or displaying the code after such a reversal is unlicensed and constitutes copyright infringement (Sweden: Upphovsrättslagen 1960:729; internationally: the Berne Convention). What you can do

  • Deploy this website on any host (Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, your own server)
  • Modify any file — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, configuration — freely
  • Replace branding, content, or design with your own
  • Use it for one or many of your own businesses
  • Resell it as part of an agency-built site for your own clients (no separate Agency tier purchase needed)
  • Ship it as part of an Open Source project, with attribution to your business — not to NorthLuma

What you can't do

  • Resell the un-modified template ZIP directly as a competing template-marketplace product
  • Claim authorship of NorthLuma's design system, theme tokens, or the underlying generation engine

What's NOT included

The license covers your generated website. It does not cover NorthLuma's own infrastructure:

  • The NorthLuma AI generation engine (Gemini integration, block library, scrubber, prompt engine) — these stay closed-source and are NorthLuma's proprietary IP.
  • The NorthLuma marketing site (northluma.com) itself.

Warranty

The code is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. NorthLuma is not liable for damages arising from use of this code. Refund terms — including the defect-fix guarantee, the 24-hour pre-download cancel window, and the EU Article 16(m) waiver — are published at /refunds.

Disputes

Governed by Swedish law. If you have a problem, email [email protected] first — most issues are resolved by reply within 24 hours on weekdays.

You did not “rent” this website. You bought it.
