Favicon tips that actually matter

  • Two sizes cover most needs. 32×32 is the classic tab favicon; 180×180 is the Apple touch icon for home-screen bookmarks.
  • One bold letter wins. At 16px on a real tab, a single strong initial reads better than a detailed logo.
  • High contrast, every time. Light glyph on a dark fill (or vice-versa) survives shrinking to tab size.
  • Rounded corners feel modern. A slight rounding matches how iOS and most browsers frame icons.
  • Match your brand. Reuse the same initial and colour as your monogram logo so everything lines up.

Free and unlimited — no account needed. It renders entirely in your browser with the Canvas API (no AI cost), so make as many as you like.
